Have you always wanted to improve your recitation and understand what you read ? Then our courses are for you.

Our Arabic Program focuses on grammatical analysis of the language of the Quran with the goal of teaching the skills you need to translate Quran.

Our courses are free of charge. Classes are online and held weekly.

What We Do

Our intention at Sacred Light if Allah wills, is to provide free Islamic education to Women. Our flagship program is our two-year Qur’anic Arabic Grammar course, which is designed to help English speaking adults who do not speak Arabic learn to read and understand the Quran. We also have a Tajweed course, and a series of Webinars on health and well-being. May Allah grant us tawfeeq. Success is from Him Alone.

Courses & Webinars

Tajweed

Simplified rules of Tajweed focusing on accurate recitation of the Quran with correct pronunciation. Designed to teach Tajweed rules from a practical perspective.

This course is delivered online with a live 1 hour class held weekly with a teacher.

Each week, students are required to practice their recitation and submit an assignment in the form of an audio recording for review and feedback.

Arabic

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the Quran through a study of it’s grammar and vocabulary. The focus is on linguistic analysis and building the skills required to translate the Quranic text so that the learner can understand the Quran when reading and hearing it being recited.

This course is delivered online with a live 1.5 hour class held weekly with a teacher.

The time commitment required for the course is between 4 to 6 hours a week at a minimum as students are expected to go through contents of each lesson prior to attending the live session, as well as completing assignments each week. 

Road To Aafiyah

A series of webinars on health and well-being, in collaboration with health professionals and Islamic scholars. The content is drawn from both contemporary psychology and the Islamic tradition. The aim is to provide practical guidelines and techniques for women to achieve  physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.

One topic presented on the last Wed of each month from 7.30pm – 8.30pm AEST.
